Today I will show you a great online shop for fans of Japanese fashion!

Lately, I have moved away from shopping on taobao and have started buying from second-hand lolita shops online. I have a few reasons for this. First, the quality of brands like Angelic Pretty, Baby the Stars Shine Bright, and Metamorphose Temps de Fille is reliably fantastic. Second, it is better for the earth. 🌍☆  So let's begin.

https://www.wunderwelt.jp/en (Wunderwelt) specializes in secondhand gothic and lolita clothing from Japanese brands. The condition of each item is ranked from A to D. From my experience, what you see is what you get. Wunderwelt offers 5000¥ ($44.10) off international shipping with an order of 50000¥ ($441.00) or more! I saved up for about 6 months to place this order to get the deal. The order arrived to my house on November 27th.

I placed my order on November 15th. They sent me a shipping quote on the 17th. I chose EMS shipping. The total would have been  ¥8,178 ($72.13), but was only ¥3,178 ($28.03) with the discount.

I was so happy opening the package! I can't wait to wear all the pretty dresses and accessories. I already wear the Emily Temple Cute necklace almost every day.

Finally I got around to getting a good petticoat. This one by Alice and the Pirates is perfect for me because it is not too poofy. Since I wear lolita almost every day, I need it to be practical while keeping the doll-like look 😊

The BtSSB cutsew blouse (Princess Drop Round Neck Pullover 2011) is really comfy and has detachable sleeves and heart-shaped buttons.

The super soft mohair bolero (Snowflake Bolero 2005) is also by BtSSB and has tiny pearls sewn in.

The BtSSB headbow is made of beautiful and sturdy jacquard and has little pom poms! I think they are so adorable.

Metamorphose Temps de Fille released the white dress (Lace Ribbon 3 Tier JSK) in 2003! This one is so delightfully old school with the tiers, ribbons, and lace. I really feel like a doll when wearing it.

Self Fabric Ribbon Pintuck JSK (2005) by Metamorphose is the charming floral piece second from the right in the group picture. Meta always has the best construction! The fabric is soft yet sturdy. It comes with 4 detachable bows. I love that I can dress this one up or down easily.

Ahh, the long sleeved Angelic Pretty dress in the middle there is the whole reason I made the leap to start this order. It is extremely beautiful.💕 My heart fluttered when I saw this up for sale. I can't find the exact model on lolibrary, but the fabric is also used in designs from 2004 (Floral Pattern Dot OP). Every detail from the eyelet lace to the delicate ruffles and pintucks is perfect. Note the gothic look of the Angelic Pretty label: that's how you know it's old!


The next dress has a really cool name! It is "Angels and Roses Gobelin JSK" (2004) by BtSSB. Gobelin fabric is the best. Call me grandma's couch, I still love it! A little detail that I did not notice when I got this: the tiny cherubs in the print! Aww my heart just melted~

I own the pretty pink dress on the right in black also. It is BtSSB's Ekaterina (2006). Something I love about this dress enough to own it in two colorways is the elastic shoulder straps. They let you adjust the fit so it's just perfect even with a bigger bust (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)

Huge Taobao Haul and Review: Summer 2015 Kawaii Clothing ☆ Lolita Accessories

Hello everyone!

I have wanted to blog about my experience using Taobao ever since I placed my first order in April. I used Yoybuy as a shopping service. They were very quick and bought my items from the sellers within one day of payment. I have no complaints with them this time around.

Timeline:
June 11- Most items were ordered
June 28- All items arrived at the warehouse, I payed the shipping and service fees
June 30- Package (4.94 Kg) was shipped out using EMS
July 3- Package arrived in Rhode Island, USA
I just missed the delivery that day!! Argh! So the post office was closed for two days in a row (4th of July and Sunday). The moment the post office opened on Monday, July 6th, I ran over with my slip! I was so excited to see all the things I ordered in real life and not just on a screen.

I eagerly tore my package open with scissors in hand. Then I laid everything out on my bed. It was like Christmas came early. Or late.

Pretty fun to look at, right? What you are looking at is 1 pannier, 2 purses, 2 pairs of shoes, 1 pair of underwear, 1 boater hat, 4 headbows, 3 pairs of socks, 3 one piece dresses, 1 jumperskirt/jsk, 2 camisoles, and 2 blouses. 

First is this beautiful boater hat! I got this from http://nlala.taobao.com/ for 60 Yuan ($9.66). It looks just like the picture and I got so many compliments when I wore it out! This store also has many other beautiful hats with different colored lace and ribbons. This hat had a nice straw scent.

I got the lavender version of this bag in my last order. It was such a deal with good quality and a cute design that I just had to get the pink and rose red too. They cost a very reasonable 48 Yuan ($7.87) each from http://shop108462748.taobao.com/ . The store doesn't sell much besides the bags.

 These darling shoes are from http://zhifuxie.taobao.com/ for 55 Yuan ($8.85).  They run a bit wider than your typical shoe, but are very comfortable and even have a cute pattern on the soles. I like these shoes because you can dress them up or down. They are simple enough to not look too fussy but cute enough to avoid looking sloppy!

Four pretty and elegant headbows for lolita or any time you want to feel a little fancy and cute. These are made from high quality ribbon that is not too shiny. Also, you can slide the ribbon to the side if you do not want to wear it right on top of your head. There are so many colors to choose from! I will definitely order more in the future. I had to do a lot of searching to find this store. The url is milktao.taobao.com. She makes lots of other cute accessories that are worth checking out! Each bow cost around 18 Yuan or $2.90. 

Pink shimapan from http://shop121187257.taobao.com/ for 10 Yuan ($1.61). These would fit a US womens size S. Very good price for the quality. The store has lots of lace tights and socks that would be good for j-fashion. 

Lace ankle socks from http://hongchunjie.taobao.com/. They cost 8 Yuan/ $1.29 per pair. They are surprisingly good quality and feel soft and comfortable on my feet! Also, you get free domestic shipping when you buy three pairs. That's helpful because domestic shipping can cost more than the socks themselves.

The Amavel replica doll house long sleeve blouse, the pretty pink chiffon OP (Ank Rouge replica?), and Ank Rouge replica jsk are all from one of my favorite taobao shops: myquanquan.taobao.com. Everything that I have purchased from them is made of good quality material. The prints and embroidery are crisp, but the fabric of the cherry JSK is a bit stiff. The text says "Cherry Pie Cutie". I love that the pink OP has heart shaped buttons! When worn it has an elegant Victorian feel. I want it in beige too!
 Also, the blouse came with light blue, bordeaux, and medium pink neck ties. They attach to the blouse via two small buttons under the collar. I have to say that I can't find any difference between the stock photos and the actual product. The cute styles, quality, and value make myquanquan.taobao.com one of my go-to places for taobao shopping.

Fairy-cat.taobao.com is the shop where the next two dresses can be purchased.The white Liz Lisa replica OP is so soft and comfy! I believe the design is from the LL 2013 A/W collection. I didn't have high hopes for it initially but I'm glad I got it. It feels like wearing a warm blanket. This will be perfect for the cold winters at college, with thermal tights of course~!

Finally, this simple yet adorable Ank Rouge replica dress. It is made from thick jersey and feels like a high quality t-shirt. I like the length- almost to my knees! I can see myself wearing it often because it is so subtle. That's not to say my usual style is subtle though...

My petticoat has huge monster poof and it took almost a month to make. The poof level is insane! Don't believe me? Just take a look at the picture. 

It is super thick. I bought it back in April from clover0429.taobao.com for 157 Yuan/ $24.60. This petticoat is not really suited for everyday wear, but rather for those days when you want to stop traffic with the huge mass of your skirt. I was getting a little frustrated with how long it took, but the end result is perfect for lolita. I don't even have to layer to get bouncy, frothy volume. If you are patient it's worth it!!

To end it all, I have a silly blunder on my part. I ordered a blouse from fairy-cat.taobao.com for the enticingly low price of 59 Yuan ($9.50). What I didn't realize was that the price was low because the buttons weren't attached. They came in a little baggie. I guess I'll have to sew them on or get someone else to. Next time I will read the descriptions more thoroughly for sure!
